Congratulations, Hyuksun and Seohyeon,
for being admitted to the Witherspoon Seminar!
We wish to congratulate our two philosophy students, Hyuksun Kwon and Seohyeon Lee, for being admitted to the Witherspoon Institute, where they participated in a week-long program on the ancient philosophical tradition, discussing the timeless works of Plato and Aristotle and applying their ideas to contemporary issues.
The Witherspoon seminar is a rigorous and challenging intellectual experience that brings high school juniors and seniors and college freshmen into direct contact with serious scholars of the humanities and is offered to both young men and young women, although their seminars take place separately. Hyuksun was one out of twenty young men, Seohyeon one out of twenty young women, selected worldwide for the summer program.
